Body: Rayon Chenille, Medium, Orange or Orange floss
Hackle: Grouse

The Grouse Spider is another wet fly from Ray Bergman's book Trout (page 431, plate #3). The Grouse Spider is a interesting sort of wet fly soft hackle hybrid. Most soft hackle flies (a.k.a. spider flies) have just a soft hackle collar and no tail. If you remove the tail on the Grouse Spider is would be more of a soft hackle fly. --Enjoy
