Daycare Worker Suffocated 3-Year-Old Boy to Death: Police

A Missouri daycare worker, Tiffany Hedrick, has been indicted for second-degree murder in the death of 3-year-old Conrad Ashcraft, who was non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. Prosecutors allege Hedrick restrained Conrad with blankets, including an 18-pound weighted blanket, and left him unattended until he died. In addition to criminal charges, Conrad’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against both Hedrick and the daycare’s owner, leading to the daycare’s closure and the owner’s resignation from the city council.
