Real ID Act Implementation Challenges
The discussion focused on the Real ID Act, its implementation, and the controversy surrounding it.

Real ID: Surveillance and Privacy
Twila explained the Real ID program as a federal ID card system that will enable a national surveillance network and ripening potential of functioning as a social credit system in America. She highlighted that the DMV plans to digitize Real IDs and store biometric data, including facial recognition, which could be expanded to include other biometrics like DNA. She emphasized the importance of refusing this system, as it infringes on constitutional rights and individual freedoms.

REAL ID Expansion Concerns
The REAL ID is not a driver's license but a federal ID. We discussed its potential expansion beyond the current requirements for accessing federal buildings, nuclear facilities, and commercial flights. CCHF expressed concern about the Secretary of Homeland Security's ability to expand the use of REAL IDs and suggested that medical care access could be a logical addition, potentially leading to a vaccine passport system. The discussion concluded with appreciating CCHF's efforts to preserve freedom and highlighting the importance of alternative media in spreading accurate information.

Resisting the Social Credit System
We discussed the dangers of a social credit system and the potential for a digital ID to lead to such a system, particularly in the context of 15-minute cities and carbon taxation. CCHF highlighted the need to resist this by opposing the Real ID Act, which they believe could pave the way for a social credit system. She also mentioned a letter sent to President Trump about the Real ID Act, which was forwarded to the TSA and dismissed in the hope of avoiding accountability.

Real ID Implementation/Compliance:
She discussed the implementation of Real ID, noting that only 5 states require it while 45 others do not, and highlighted that ne'er-do-well ‘rogue’ DMV agents prevent people from switching back to regular licenses. She revealed new information from a research article that showed the Real ID office, despite legal restrictions, had funded DMV agencies to achieve 95% compliance across states that opposed the act. The discussion concluded with a brief mention of the "Big Beautiful Bill," which holds both positive & negative elements.

‘Pandemic’ Accountability and Healthcare Reforms:
The meeting discussed several key points about a new bill. She explained that the bill creates a pandemic accountability committee to review C-19 funding, expands access to health savings accounts for certain Obamacare coverage holders, and recognizes direct primary care clinics as medical care rather than insurance. The bill also makes it more difficult for illegal immigrants to receive Medicare or Medicaid, codifies 28 of Trump's executive orders into law, and addresses an unconstitutional Clinton-era executive instruction that restricts access to Social Security benefits for those who don't enroll in Medicare Part A. Twila emphasized the importance of allowing people to opt out of Medicare without losing Social Security benefits, as Medicare is projected to be bankrupt by 2033.

Minnesota's REAL ID Resistance Strategy:
She explained Minnesota's unique position regarding REAL ID, noting that its organization successfully opposed it in 2016 but failed in 2017 due to Republican support. Minnesota's law is different from other states, offering more protection against federal overreach, and emphasizing the importance of switching to a REAL ID or enhanced driver's license. She also discussed efforts to educate the public, influence legislators, and engage Attorneys General to combat REAL ID implementation.
