MSNBC Can’t Stop Talking About Joe Rogan While Calling Trump’s ICE Vans ‘Fascist Trucks’

MSNBC’s Molly Jang set the tone with dramatic language, saying:

“Mass deportation now...looks horrible. Looks like the kind of moral thing, the kind of sort of moral degradation, the kind of just horror that none of us wanted. Even I think on the most craven side, I don’t think anyone wanted what we’re seeing now.”

Nicolle Wallace then turned to Tim Miller, teeing him up as the expert:

“So Tim Miller, to you and to all the smart conversations you have with smart people, how do you operationalize resistance to something that's so profoundly unpopular? That is all the things Molly just said, um, but that is, is now been written into policy that has now been funded by all the congressional Republicans laying over for Donald Trump.”

Miller then unloaded with this:

“Yeah, this funding, that's an important part of it, Nicole. And I wanted to kind of talk about to add on to all this because the, their Trump is only turning up the heat on this, right? Like that the actions around immigration and ICE, um, you know, just because he's gone underwater on this issue and the polls does not mean that they are going to slow down on their operations at all, just the opposite. You know. And yesterday they rolled out these new kind of fascist trucks and cars that have Trump's name on it with Defend the Homeland. Um, you know, he's got blood and soil type cars that they're gonna be sending to places. Um, they have all this additional funding for deportation centers, all this, the additional funding for ICE police. Um, you know, new people that are not gonna be trained that well, something that my colleague Adrian Caresky has been covering a lot at The Bulwark. Um, you know, we’re going to have Dean Cain out there jumping out of cars, jumping out of vans and nabbing people, apparently what he said he was planning on doing on Fox. So like this is not gonna slow down. And so it is incumbent upon the Democrats to, I think, fight on this issue. And I think it's something that we've seen some change from and from over the past like eight months with the Democrats. Where coming into the year they thought immigration was a loser. Trump was popular in this issue. It's not worth fighting on. And I think kind of a combination of things, um, just how extreme their policies have been, the blowback to what we saw with El Salvador, people like Joe Rogan going out there. I mean no Democrat wants to feel like they're getting to the right of Joe Rogan on immigration, right?”

That “blood and soil” line wasn’t random — it’s a direct nod to a Nazi slogan (Blut und Boden), meant to tie Trump’s ICE enforcement to Hitler’s propaganda.

And the constant name-dropping of Joe Rogan.

“I mean no Democrat wants to feel like they’re getting to the right of Joe Rogan on immigration, right?”

Yes, you read that right — MSNBC spent airtime worrying about how Democrats stack up against Joe Rogan. A podcast host who openly smokes pot with multiple guests and admits it makes him “think differently.”

The absurdity here is obvious: Rogan isn’t a policymaker. He’s not in charge of ICE, border enforcement, or deportations. Yet MSNBC treated him as if his stance is the measuring stick for Democrats.

In the end, what should have been a news segment turned into a Democratic strategy session — complete with Nazi comparisons, scare-talk about ICE, and endless references to Joe Rogan as if he’s the barometer for U.S. immigration policy.

If this is MSNBC’s idea of journalism, it’s no wonder people are tuning them out.
