Growing Up

Isn’t it incredible to hold a tiny seed in your hand, plant it and watch it grow and bear fruit and vegetables. We are like those seeds. God plants seeds in our hearts and it bears the fruit of the Spirit. We can grow in the most uniquely places, wherever He plants us. I had these cucumbers that vined upward from where I planted them, up the side of my garden and ended up growing cucumbers in a very, very unlikely place.

God is like that. In our personal relationship with Him, He causes us to grow in our spiritual maturity and He will uses very weird methods to do so. His way is not our way, I have learned that. He does whatever it takes to grow us through our life situations. Sometimes times I thought I was going to crash and burn… God came through and did something so miraculous that I could not even wrap my head around His methods.

Many times I have to be honest, I despise His methods of growing me up. I really don’t like them. But I trust God, and I know His endgame is always so very perfect and good for me. God has never failed me.

Just like a cucumber growing on the side of a garden fence, it is rooted in the soil below, yet it still grew in that unlikely place. I am thinking that these vines were growing up towards the sun, reaching for the sun. Isn’t that amazing, because we do the same thing. Attached to the Vine of Jesus Christ we look up to the SON, for our soul nourishment, wisdom and truth to become a person who bears fruit for God’s Kingdom.

Plants will reach up to where the SON is and keep growing up towards the Son. We have been seeded with Jesus Christ in our hearts when we accepted Him and were saved by Him. We can grow anywhere, because He is with us always, we can bear fruit because He is the Vine and we are attached to His sustenance. So, Heart To Heart, stay attached to the Vine, Jesus Christ and grow, grow, grow… bear luscious fruit! God bless ya.
