Temptation is necessary for spiritual growth, allowing us to develop virtues like patience and charity. While material possessions themselves are not inherently evil, excessive attachment to them can lead to temptation and hinder our relationship with God. Ultimately, true fulfillment comes from seeking God and rejecting worldly desires, finding the one treasure that surpasses all others.
