What I found is shocking: child labour, dangerous mining conditions, and exploitation in countries like the Democratic Republic of Congo, all to fuel the growing global demand for EV batteries.

While governments around the world sell us the story of “green technology,” promising cleaner futures and tax incentives, the truth is far murkier. Entire communities are being destroyed so that first-world nations can feel good about driving electric cars. The price of so-called “progress” is paid in human lives.
