SCRIPTURE READING FOR
TODAY - Gen 45:9-15

9 “Now hurry back to my father and tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me master over all the land of Egypt. So come down to me immediately!
10 You can live in the region of Goshen, where you can be near me with all your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and everything you own.
I will take care of you there, for there are still five years of famine ahead of us. Otherwise you, your household, and all your animals will starve.’ ”
12 Then Joseph added, “Look! You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that I really am Joseph!
13 Go tell my father of my honored position here in Egypt. Describe for him everything you have seen, and then bring my father here quickly.”
14 Weeping with joy, he embraced Benjamin, and Benjamin did the same.
15 Then Joseph kissed each of his brothers and wept over them, and after that they began talking freely with him.

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 45:9-15 NLT Joseph Overflowed With Joy Towards His Brothers
God's will, not of man's governs everything. It keeps us from being vengeful or bitter and, on the contrary, it would make us ready for reconciliation as we see in Joseph. A man of the spirit can see God's hand in all events and is therefore able to forgive offenses and wrongs easily and like Paul say that "...Christ in you is the hope of glory" Col 1:27. Joseph rewarded his brothers good for evil. He promised to care of them and their families for the remaining five years of famine. What a large heart! They did not see and hear a vengeful brother, but one who showered them with blessings and promised much more. He did everything to take away their fear. Their eyes saw his glory, their ears heard his promises, and their hearts felt his warm love. Reality dawned on them, Joseph's dreams had come true. There is only little or nothing that men can do to hold you back from reaching God's will for you. You are the only one, who can hold yourself back.

27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Personal Supplication
Father, help me to never avenge myself, but leave my battles to You in Jesus' name Rom 12:19

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
