An EPIC Day Metal Detecting and Shooting an 1860 Henry Rifle!

We had an epic day #metaldetecting on a #CivilWar campsite occupied by Union soldiers in 1864 on their approach to Savannah, GA. Since we've been finding full Henry cartridges on this site, Dan from YouTube's Battlefield Curator brought a repro 1860 Henry rifle for us to shoot. To top it off, Tommy dug a ring that was covered in gold and stamped 18k! Although it's not solid #gold, it is either plated or filled. We are still trying to determine if it belonged to a Civil War soldier.
