Antony discussed his experiences with lawyers and embassies regarding political asylum. He narrowed down his options to Canada and sought help from a Nigerian Canadian lawyer, Dami Lola Sunni, who showed sympathy for his case. However, he was advised that he might be stopped at the border if he tried to cross irregularly. Antony then used satellite maps to scope out possible roads across the border and planned his journey, but he did not have any specific plans in place once he reached his destination.

Antony shared his experience of being hunted down by the US government after being pardoned by Trump. He had to be extremely cautious and creative to avoid capture, including using cash and a Faraday bag to protect his identity. He eventually found refuge in a Buddhist temple in Canada, where he was welcomed and protected. However, his profile as a Trump supporter in Canada made him a target for investigation and eventual arrest.
