Commissioned in 1988, the nuclear-powered behemoth was designed to dominate the seas with its immense firepower and advanced technology. However, after years of service, it was decommissioned in 1999 for repairs and modernization. The overhaul took longer than expected, but according to sources within the Russian military-industrial complex, the ship is now seaworthy again. Sea trials are scheduled to begin in August or September 2025.
