3I/ATLAS Object may be emitting its own Light, NASA’s Mars Orbiter requested to inspect it in October 2025

The Theoretical Physicist Dr. Avi Loeb in one of his latest Blogs on the Medium Website is now theorizing that the newly discovered 3I/ATLAS Interstellar Object may, in Fact be emitting its own Light.

His Arguments for it are a bit too Technical for me to summarize in a simpler Manner, but you can read about it on his Blog whose Link I will put down below.

He has ruled out its Light as just coming from the Reflection of the Sun, and said that if it is indeed emitting its own Light, then its Size may be as small as only 100 meters across.

He suggests that the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) Spacecraft built by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) which has been orbiting the Planet Mars since 2006, be used to inspect 3I/ATLAS as it comes relatively near that Planet later this Year of October 2025.

3I/ATLAS will then be around 29 million kilometers from Mars at that time, and the MRO could use its onboard High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) Camera to inspect it. Loeb said that he has reached out to the HiRise Team, and that their response has been "favorable" so far, so here's hoping for the Best that it will, indeed, happen.

On a Side Note, I know that if a Spacecraft intends to decelerate to do the reverse Oberth Maneuver, then it will turn around and point its tail towards the Object it intends to use for its deceleration, which in this Case will be the Sun.

This could explain the Glow in front of it. I learned this from watching some Explanation Videos on YouTube about the Science Fiction (SciFi) Series, "The Expanse". However, if it has reversed its orientation and pointed its Thrusters already towards the Sun, then it should be decelerating already also. Is it, though?
