Pretty Great Dane with strong prey drive devours lamb.

On a hot summer day, I took my gorgeous Great Dane to IKEA on Monday, June 20th, and as very pretty as she is, this Great Dane has a very strong prey drive. When she and I go to this IKEA there are often a great number of rabbits that inhabit the area. Since her puppy-hood, she has gone after rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, coyotes, and much to my disappointment, skunks!

The lamb in question was actually a birthday gift for her from another Great Dane mom in the United States. Thank you Vanessa and Jax. She has no idea how this birthday gift was treated, but we had entered the IKEA parkade on a summer evening where I had decided to grab some dinner.

This wonderful Great Dane was in the van for a while so it was only fair to give her the chance to relieve herself. It seems this mighty Great Dane had other plans than to relieve herself. She wanted to demonstrate her prey drive and killer instinct to show she is not to be messed with.

A Great Dane's neck is thickly muscled, but dogs are so very fast. You can see them shake prey and usually doing that will break the neck of the prey, so in this video you will get the chance to see her prey drive at work as she goes after her birthday gift lamb and shake it violently.

This lamb served as a very nice distraction so that the rabbits around the property are not in any danger of becoming the target of this gorgeous Great Dane who can be every bit as deadly and powerful as she is strikingly beautiful.

Do not be fooled by her stunning beauty because as amazingly pulchritudinous as she is, this Great Dane can also be very laid back to the point where she can burp or fart like a drunken sailor so as you can imagine, having such a strong prey drive is not a very big issue when managed correctly.
