Sweet Great Dane likes getting her teeth brushed!

We are taught that we humans need to brush our teeth after every meal, and floss as well. That prompted a thought as to whether or not man's best friend should have to do the same thing. The two things humans and dogs have in common is that most of them have teeth and all of them eat, so it made me think we both should be brushing our teeth.

To be able to brush your dog's teeth means they have to be comfortable with you sticking things in their mouths and handling them in that area of their anatomy. In order to be able to do that, one must start very early in puppy-hood by handling them in as many ways as you can think of. This way if you handle your puppy in every imaginable way as a puppy, they will be accustomed to it as a young dog, adult dog, and eventually a senior dog.

This beautiful Great Dane loves to eat, and I have fed her the best of food and she has even been gracious enough to share some of my own food with me. Having said that, it means she will have to brush her teeth.

Given that it would be difficult for her to brush her own teeth, and that she is unable to do it by herself, it is up to her best friend and guardian to assist her with brushing her teeth. When you see her getting her teeth brushed, you can see that she clearly enjoys it very much.

This Great Dane loves getting her teeth brushed, and will eat more to get them brushed again, or simply try again to get her teeth brushed. That is okay with me because she is very much a close talker and with her fervor for getting her teeth brushed, that means she has very good breath and that is just fine with me.
