My submission to the GMTK Game Jam 2025. Theme "Loop". - https://milantique-studios.itch.io/a-maze-in-mouse-looping-castle

The idea is that you are in a castle trying to get to the exit. But every time you get to the exit you are looped back around to the beginning with some changes to the castle.

This is how it went for me. Remember it's the thought that counts. XD

- Day 1: Came up with an idea. Prototyped the idea. Realized I did not know how to make that idea work. Went to bed.

- Day 2: Figured out how I could make that idea work with my limited abilities but it would take too long to do so. Threw that idea out and came up with another idea.

- Day 3: Brainstormed how to make the idea interesting, fun and within my limit of knowledge and time. I got a couple loops done. I was feeling good about myself now that I have a solid plan. Ready to have an entire day to create fun puzzle rooms.

- Day 4: Exported the game from Unreal Engine to see what the process would be like so I wouldn't be scrambling at the last minute. Error. Fixed the error and tried again. Error. Fixed that error and tried again. Error. It is 2am. Fixed all the errors and finally was able to export the game successfully. But I still wanted to make one more room so its not such a short experience. Did what I could. 6am. Uploading the game. Yay. I am a bit disappointed that my 4 days basically turned into 1 day but lessons learned for the next jam I do. And I got the idea across. So it is what it is.
