It's time to tackle the canard that is "Qatari Influence". This narrative has been trotted out for a number of years, largely by what are in my opinion, dishonest commentators. While I will never belittle or ignore foreign influence in America, which I view as almost always negative, I think the Qatar narrative in particular has been overblown by people who would use it as a convenience and a red herring in public debate, especially to distract from other nations which wield an objectively more powerful and negative influence over our country.

Some may question the utility of making such a prolonged rebuttal to what are likely bad faith arguments, and maintain that anyone informed should be able to dismiss any and all Qatari influence narratives as obviously dishonest.

I still chose to make this video because I believe the point of these red herring arguments is not to fully convince, but to confuse. To fill the conversation with so much nonsense, so many accusations of "these people are bad too" that anyone who doesn't want to devote any serious amount of time to self study on a given subject, will end up throwing their hands up, leaving their opinions confused and indefinite, and I fear that many have fallen into this trap, and lend a certain vague credibility to the idea that Qatar is the real "puppet master". I hope this video will provide an easy to access (and easy to share/link to) source of the basic information on this subject, which should be sufficient to dismiss the Qatar narrative as relatively unserious, thus removing this tool of obfuscation from the toolbox of our opponents, and refocusing the narrative on more serious threats.

A few additional notes on this video on particular. First, it was the middle of the summer so I was dealing with the heat while filming which I think comes across in the pictures - so if I look a little disheveled, it is what it is. Second, if I repeat myself in any sections of this video, this was partially intentional. Given that I knew the video was going to be long, and how much people tend to groan when sent a link to a 2hr long video to "prove a point" online, I paid some mind to making each section as "stand-alone" as possible, so I (or anyone else, feel free to clip the video and share it anywhere) can make short clips, a few minutes in length to address each issue in isolation which makes for low investment clips people are much more willing to consume.

Thank you all for watching!
