Driving Old Dixie Highway

Take a ride on the Old Dixie Highway, a 100+ year old brick paved road in in Flagler County, Florida, United States. This was the main highway in the early 1900s, until other more popular roads, such as Rt. 1 and I-95 replaced it as the main travel way.

An 11 mile stretch of the Old Dixie Highway still exists, although virtually abandoned, and it is a rough ride. The bricks are in pretty good shape, but sand, erosion, and weight of cars and logging trucks make this an uneven and bumpy ride... not recommended for cars, but trucks and ATVs should have no problem driving slow.

Sit back and travel the entire 11 miles through my dashcam. This video does not contain spoken words (just a music bed), but if you like, turn on Closed Captioning to read a bit about the road and my travels through it. I also will release a more historical video on the highway as well.
