Brits Try American Dessert Pizza for the First Time! (Cinnamon Roll Style)
You guys are WILD, America… a pizza for dessert?! 🍕➡️🍩 After so many of you told us in the comments to try it, today we’re making a Cinnamon Roll Style American Dessert Pizza right here in our UK kitchen — and tasting it for the VERY first time! 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸

This is basically the love child of a gooey cinnamon roll and a cheesy pizza — soft pizza dough base, buttery cinnamon-sugar topping with oats for crunch, baked until golden, and finished with a luscious cream cheese glaze. Think Cinnabon meets pizza night… the kind of recipe Americans pull out for game day, family gatherings, or just because life needs more cinnamon rolls.

We’ve tackled Breakfast Pizza before (you guys went nuts for that video!) — so now it’s time for the sweet sequel: Dessert Pizza. And yes, there were laughs, flour disasters, frosting battles, and a proper British taste test at the end. Even little Elana got to try a slice!

🍕 DESSERT PIZZA RECIPE (Cinnamon Roll Style)
Base:
1 pack store-bought pizza dough (rolled to ~12 in / 30 cm)

Topping:
½ cup (115 g) softened butter
½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
½ cup (40 g) old-fashioned oats
3 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Cream Cheese Glaze:
2 oz (56 g) cream cheese
4 tbsp butter
¾ cup (90 g) powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract

Method:

Roll dough to ~12 inches. Let rest 10 minutes.
Mix butter, sugar, oats & cinnamon. Spread over dough.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden.
Beat glaze ingredients until smooth.
Drizzle glaze generously over warm pizza. Slice & serve!

An American invention where pizza dough becomes a sweet base topped with chocolate, fruit, or in this case — cinnamon roll style toppings with glaze.

Is this like Cinnabon?
It’s the closest you’ll get at home without waiting hours for yeasted cinnamon rolls. Same flavours, faster method!

Can I make variations?
Yes! Try apple pie toppings, chocolate & Reese’s pieces, Nutella & strawberries, or even a s’mores version.
