Trump Promises to Eradicate Crime in DC

Donald Trump:

They are afraid. Half the people here, maybe everyone here, most of you live in DC. You’re terrified to go out.

And you’re liberals. And if you’re liberals, you’re going to have to change your Democrats. You’re going to have to change the way they act. So, we’re going to have crime under control very soon in DC.

But there are record numbers. And sadly, what I assume the mayor did, or whoever it was, is that they asked for the numbers to be manipulated so they would show less crime than there really is. The truth is, it’s worse than ever.

And we’ll have it just like we did at the border, where the borders are in excellent shape right now, the best in history, with record numbers. We’ll have the crime situation solved in DC very soon.

And we’re also going to beautify the city. We have a beautiful city, but you can’t have graffiti, you can’t have pothole-filled roads, you can’t have the road dividers, the medians, falling over into the street.

We’re going to beautify the city, make it really nice. And we’re going to get the criminals out of here once and for all. We don’t want criminals in Washington, DC.
