Qortal Fully Functional! Jason Crowe Joins for an ACTC Panel Discussion

Jason Crowe of Qortal and Crowetic joins us, the Anti-Censorship Technical Committee guys, to discuss his work on Qortal.

Qortal is a project to build an entire alternative, decentralized, censorship-proof internet to "create a completely secure and liberating digital world." https://qortal.org/

We discuss a number of topics. Jason shares that the latest upgrades to Qortal completed all of the originally-planned functions. Further, an SDK is available making development for Qortal simple. In further news, the Qortal team is moving forward with Reticulum integration, which will allow participation in the network with further increased privacy. Reticulum is a fully-encrypted decentralized protocol that functions without requiring user IP addresses.

The foundation of the Qortal network is in place, and developers are invited to join to build full-up applications. Jason said that many of the current applications are “placeholders,” as the Qortal development team has been more focused on the network, itself. This is only the beginning and an exciting time!

The timing couldn’t be better, as censorship and attacks on privacy are on the rise by governments worldwide.

In the discussion, we discuss a number of related topics, including Jason bringing up the "non-token" aspects of Ethereum and the potential expansion for true tokens to be used on the Qortal network.
