Body: Stripped Peacock Herl
Hackle: Scarlet
Wing: Light Mottled Turkey

The Light Blow is another wet fly from Ray Bergman's book Trout (page 436, plate #5). The unique thing about the Light Blow is the body is a stripped peacock herl. I have not seen many wet flies with this type of body. There are a number of wet flies and even nymphs that have a stripped peacock herl (or stripped rooster quill) in the body of the fly. A little something different that makes it fun. --Enjoy
