Being Close To God Has Its Benefits
Text: James 4:8

Objective: that the Children of God may be bring themselves closer and closer to God
and be blessed thereby

Benefits of being close to God
1. Peace - of mind and life - v.1
2. Receive the things you need - vv. 2-3
3. Humility - v. 6
4. Protection and Safety from Enemies - v. 7

Our Responsibility: How to get close to God - v. 8
1. Avoid Sin
2. Be pure in all things- intentions, dealings
3. Be single minded - focus on God and His Word

Message/conclusion:
The Lord is the source of all things.
Being close to Him may be hard at times but that is the best position we can be.
