Apatros Review Ep-0182: Deathstalker [1983]

AR-0182: One of those low budget barbarian flicks that were all the rage in the 1980s, this particular one is pretty nasty and cheap, and was the last film Roger Corman made with New World Pictures before he left that company.

Rick Hill plays a nasty barbarian named Deathstalker who doesn't like hero quests [which makes him a bad choice for Daggerfall or Skyrim] but is forced to in order to retrieve a special MacGuffin, with a little help from his friends, including Lana Clarkson in one of her early female barbarian roles.

Not near the top of the heap when it comes to quality, but at least it follows the barbarian playbook closely so it does what you expect it to.

My Grade: C [Average]
