TW B.T.S. offers an academic discussion of Ironsworn. I explore the game’s central mechanics, particularly as they relate to my storytelling process. Also, I examine game’s potential to transcend its genre - the fundamental machinery that leverages and amplifies the force of thought, and lets you explore the farthest reaches of your imagination. Recently I heard the average attention span is nine seconds 🤣 Ha! I can’t finish a sentence in nine seconds, much less talk about anything of complexity or consequence. Oh well. Solitary roleplaying is basically for introverts, for the happy few who enjoy their solitude, and the silent hours alone with a book or a notepad. Time and opportunity to think critically in a society that seldom offers any meaningful definition of self, nor any meaty thoughts worthy of rumination.
