Inflation in the United States is showing a complex picture. Core CPI, excluding volatile food and energy, accelerated in July at the fastest pace in six months, pushing the annual rate to 3.1%. These contrasting trends raise a key question. If underlying inflation keeps climbing, how can you protect the purchasing power of your savings?
