Today on the Lynne Scott Haggerman Podcast, it is an honor to welcome Stewart Rhodes, founder and longtime leader of the Oath Keepers. While serving as a U.S. Army paratrooper in the 1980s, Rhodes sustained an injury and received an Honorable Discharge due to that injury before going on to earn his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School in 2004. He clerked for an Arizona Supreme Court justice, later opened a law practice in Montana, and in 2009 founded the Oath Keepers—quickly becoming a prominent figure in the Patriot Movement. Convicted and sentenced to 18 years in federal prison as a J6er, Rhodes was released on January 20, 2025, when President Trump issued a sweeping clemency proclamation covering nearly 1,600 January 6 defendants.
Now, Rhodes joins the show to talk about relaunching the Oath Keepers and his personal work in providing disaster relief in the Texas Hill Country after devastating flooding. We’ll discuss how he mobilized to assist affected communities and his plans for the Oath Keepers moving forward.
