McNeil refused every single one. Instead, he repeatedly asked why he was being stopped and demanded a supervisor.
But McNeil’s attorneys — high-profile civil rights lawyers Ben Crump and Harry Daniels — call the decision unacceptable. They’re urging the U.S. Department of Justice to step in, arguing the officers went far beyond what was necessary and failed to act professionally.
