Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner is introducing a bill to end lighter sentences for non-citizens, calling the current system a “two-tiered” form of justice. A new CMHC report warns housing starts are set to fall below pandemic levels, undermining the Carney government’s pledge to build 500,000 homes annually.
