The End of “Time” and back to Eternity

Before sin entered the garden, humanity lived in the endless rhythm of God’s own life where there was no decay, no ending, and no fear of loss. Eternity was the original design, but when rebellion came, time began, a construct of judgment and mercy, marked by a beginning and destined for an end. In His patience, God uses this brief slice of eternity to call people to repentance, shape His people and fulfill His promises. From the fall of man to the cross of Christ and from the resurrection to His coming return, time has been the stage where God’s justice and mercy are displayed. Soon, an appointed hour will come when time will be no more, Christ will return in glory, the dead in Him will rise, judgment will reveal every heart, and the old creation will give way to the new heavens and new earth where righteousness dwells forever. Until that day, every moment we are given is both a gift and a test, urging us to live ready, to love deeply, and to set our hope fully on the eternal kingdom that cannot be shaken.
