This is my 8th park for my goal of 20 parks to celebrate World Wide Flora and Fauna in amateur radio AUGUST IN THE PARKS WWFF 2025 event.
A friend was coming in from Virginia and he had a few hours to play ham radio while he took a break from golf with his family He likes to hunt but didn’t want to activate. We did have to move the operation from outside to the car when the rain started. I will enjoy the auto desk I rescued from my friends storage room.
If you want to activate this park they do want a permit. The ranger did stop by and we told her we had a permit. There is no charge for the permit. You may also want to check out the nearby golf resort at Pinehurst and practice your putting and tour golf museum.
