James Gunn SLAMMED for Superman’s Early Streaming Release

James Gunn is facing backlash over the announcement that Superman will be coming to streaming 35 days after its premiere.

Many fans of his new Superman movie feel an early streaming release undercuts its box office potential that, so far, has not been able to beat out Zack Snyder’s 2013 Man of Steel. When factoring in the increased coast of theater tickets on average, Man of Steel sold around twice as many as James Gunn’s Superman. There are many factors in play for why James Gunn’s movie was beat out by Zack Snyder’s, but the streaming release has to be a factor.
