Mexican model's disappearance linked to wild cannibalism accusations against Disney and Royals reignited

The case of Gabriela Rico Jimenez has resurfaced after being told on the Mexico Unexplained podcast. The 21 year old vanished in 2009 after making wild accusations

The baffling tale of a Mexican supermodel who vanished after hurling bizarre accusations that the elite consumed human flesh has resurfaced, 15 years on. Gabriela Rico Jimenez was just 21 when she disappeared in 2009, following her public outburst against several influential figures. The enigmatic case has been thrust back into the limelight, over a decade later, thanks to its feature on the Mexico Unexplained podcast.

Footage of an agitated Gabriela ranting became an internet sensation at the time, leading to her arrest. The drama unfolded outside a posh hotel in Monterrey Nuevo Leon post-celebration. She appeared disheveled with a torn shirt emblazoned with "yum, yum" and visibly distressed.

She leveled allegations against the Royal family, Disney, and one of Mexico's wealthiest men. A gathering crowd listened as she accused figures like Queen Elizabeth of abducting children and consuming human flesh, reports the Mirror US. Shortly thereafter, she was taken into custody by the police and subsequently disappeared.

In her tirade, Gabriela exclaimed: "I wanted my freedom. Monterrey freed me but it cost me a lot of work." These words were captured in the viral video from 15 years ago that stunned the nation. "I was in Mexico City for a year and four months," she is heard yelling in Spanish in the old footage. "All this began in mid-2001. I barely remember."

The model made a desperate plea for her liberty, alleging she was being detained without consent. She further claimed there were acts of murder and cannibalism involving prominent figures, as reported by MailOnline.

"They were young and powerful, and they killed them," she asserted. "I've been knocking on doors - What I wanted was my freedom. I want my freedom. Carlos Slim Domit knew about this. I want my freedom," she insisted, mentioning the son of the magnate behind Telmex, the massive telecommunications firm in Mexico.

"It hurts my soul that they took him away," she lamented, just as police arrived at the increasingly tumultuous scene. She was restrained with handcuffs by law enforcement as she accused others of engaging in cannibalism.

Her outburst was broadcast in Spanish, and the news piece is still making rounds today. As officers from the DIF Police of Monterrey closed in, she shouted "leave me alone". In distress, she continued: "They have already taken me to the police station, and there they told me that they knew nothing! They took me to the General Hospital. You! You were there! Go get the [expletive]! You killed Mourino!"

She was alluding to Juan Camilo Mourino Terrazo, an influential Mexican politician from the National Action Party (PAN), who tragically passed away in the 2008 Mexico City Learjet crash. At the time of his death, he served as the Secretary of the Interior under President Felipe Calderon.

The government aircraft he was travelling in tragically crashed into rush hour traffic at a busy junction, leading to speculation of mysterious circumstances. The crash claimed the lives of all nine people on board and seven individuals on the ground. Mourino was just 37.

Gabriela's tirade escalated as she gestured towards another officer: "They told me who did they kill? The Queen of England? The Queen of Germany? Did they kill the princesses and Mickey Mouse? It was also him! What? Nothing is going to come here. The people where you come from are crazy! They killed a lot of people. Death to that kind of human! Go away!"

Soon, the model's allegations took a macabre turn, with claims about cannibalism among the elite. She exclaimed: "They ate humans! Disgusting! They ate humans! I wasn't aware of anything. Of the murders, yes, but they ate humans! Humans! They smell like human flesh! You are not going to take me until this is clarified! You already took me there! Let me go!"

A video of Gabriela being escorted away is accompanied by a voiceover from a narrator who states: "This is the sad reality of young Gabriela Rico Jimenez, who, as you saw a moment ago, tried to attack the police officer who managed to take her."

It's understood that following Gabriela's arrest, she was initially jailed before being transferred to a psychiatric center in Buenos Aires colony. She was expected to remain there "indefinitely" until she received the necessary help. However, no updates have been provided since 2013.
