President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are scheduled to meet on Aug. 15 to discuss a potential end to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Speculation surrounding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's participation in the discussions with Trump and Putin has largely subsided, as it now appears he will not be in Alaska for the meeting. LiveNOW's Andrew Craft is getting a preview of what we might expect on Friday from Peter B. Doran, an adjunct senior fellow at FDD.

"The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin of Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska," Trump wrote in a social media post on Aug. 8.
