Episode 190: Breakthrough Healing for Chronic Spike Illness
This week on VSRF Live, we welcome Dr. Tina Peers, a brilliant physician with over four decades of medical experience dedicated to women’s health, chronic illness, and complex inflammatory conditions.
Dr. Peers shares how she has helped thousands of patients connect the dots between lingering, unexplained symptoms and a little-known immune disorder called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).
MCAS occurs when immune cells called mast cells become hyperactive, releasing floods of inflammatory chemicals throughout the body. The result can be a wide range of chronic, debilitating symptoms — from fatigue and brain fog to heart palpitations, rashes, and gut problems. Research suggests that up to 20% of the population may be affected, yet most people go undiagnosed.
Dr. Peers’ interest in MCAS began over a decade ago when her own daughter fell gravely ill. What started as a mother’s search for answers became a career-defining mission. When COVID hit, she noticed something striking: many of the sickest patients — including those with long COVID and post-vaccine injury — shared inflammation patterns similar to MCAS. By treating mast cell overactivation, she often saw patients turn a corner within hours.
Although Dr. Peers began her career as a GP and later served as a Consultant in Contraception and Reproductive Health with a focus on menopause management, by January 2025 she fully transitioned to Integrative Personalized Medicine, emphasizing root causes rather than symptom suppression. Today, she leads The Menopause Consultancy, advises patients as a naturopathic doctor, and remains an active member of the British Society of Ecological Medicine and Freedom Health Connect.
In this week’s episode, Dr. Peers shares:
How calming mast cell overactivation through diet, antihistamines, and advanced tools like augmented NAC can sometimes bring rapid relief — even within hours
The hidden connection between MCAS, long COVID, and post-vaccine injury
Why millions may be undiagnosed and living with unexplained symptoms
How genetic predisposition makes certain people more vulnerable
Which targeted interventions can make a lasting difference
