INSIGHTS 21 PODCAST S2E694 Teens are an easy target for Human Traffickers

When you hear someone mention “Human Trafficking” do you think of women working at seedy nightclubs and/or illegal immigrants? Do you think of students?
Human Traffickers are targeting our children across our great city and our teens are very impressionable who can easily fall victim.

The Crime Stoppers of Houston Safe School Program brings awareness to schools by talking to students about what Human Trafficking is, what it may look like and what they can do to keep themselves and others safe. Our Safe School video shows students acting out a Human Trafficking scenario with two possible outcomes - one of which is the result of ignoring the signs and the other shows what a teen can do to help.

Note to school staff: This video is a tool to facilitate the discussion on Human Trafficking and should only be shown by a professional that has been trained to speak to students on the topic of Human Trafficking. Contact Crime Stoppers to set a presentation at your school.
