Seized Bolt and Stud Removal

In this video we show you a few different ways to remove bolts and studs. We have an old stud remover tool. It's not something you would commonly find, but our dad did have one in the shop. We tried to use it at 1st but it is an old Turbo and it's a little too seized up from all the heat that's been applied in the past along with rust and age, so it didn't work correctly. I had to break out the torch heat up the metal around the stud and then use the stud removal tool to pull out the seized up stud. The 2nd method we used I tried to apply 2 nuts together on the existing bolt stud stud and with these 2 bolts you should be able to apply enough pressure once they're pinched together in order to turn the stud out of it's it out of its existing hole. In my example because it's on a Turbo with all the heat that's been applied and the rust and the age all I did was pull the threads off the stud. So I had to go back and Weld and welled a nut onto the stud in order to be able to turn the stud like I wanted to. I still had to apply some heat with the torch around the bolt in order to break the threads loose but in the end it did work. Finally we get to play with an Induction Heater. This thing is cool and showcases Kegan's knowledge on magnetism.. well kind of.
