AM Workout: Chest and Front Delts

Hey y'all! Welcome back to another lifting session. This was a morning workout for chest and front delts. I prefer to do lower body in the afternoon. That way, I am not walking funny all day!

This is a higher volume, pump style workout. It is designed to deplete some glycogen which should help slightly with fat loss during this fat loss phase. Depleting glycogen from my muscles definitely helps prior to my high carb and calorie day. There may actually be some supercompensation of glycogen restoration. At the very least, it helps replenish those glycogen store to allow for hard training the next week.

This workout consists of slight incline dumbbell press, flat bench dumbbell press, cable crossover (mid position) and cable front raise. Each exercise was performed for 3-4 sets of 10 reps. Once I can perform 10 reps for all sets, I will increase the weight slightly and repeat. The rest intervals are short though...30-45 seconds. This leads to a buildup of fatigue that makes the last set or two difficult.
