Mother-Son Duo Hunt Down Ex-Girlfriend in Deadly Chase

What started as a toxic breakup spiraled into one of the most chilling domestic violence cases Michigan has ever seen. Prosecutors say 23-year-old DeAndre McLilly and his mother, Wendy Weatherford, hunted down his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Alicia Jackson-Skaggs, in a high-speed chase ending in gunfire outside a Golden Corral.

Alicia had broken away from an abusive relationship, filed for protection, and started to rebuild her life. But McLilly’s obsessive stalking allegedly turned into a calculated plan to kill her — with his own mother riding shotgun.

Investigators say the pair chased Alicia at speeds up to 70 mph, boxed her in, and McLilly fired directly into her car, striking her in the head. She clung to life for two days before succumbing to her injuries. At the time of her death, Alicia was four weeks pregnant.
