Mental Health Crisis: Our Kids & Urgent Support Needed

The numbers are heartbreaking. **20% of teenagers in the U.S. will seriously think about suicide this year.** One in five. And that’s not just a statistic—it’s someone’s child, friend, or sibling.

We’re losing too many lives because people feel unsafe being real. They feel unsafe asking for help. Communities that once held us together are breaking apart, kindness is fading, and cruelty has become louder. This is devastating our collective mental health.

Meanwhile, the system that should help is **fragmented, overwhelmed, and underfunded**. There aren’t enough therapists. There aren’t enough resources. And if nothing changes, it’s only going to get worse.

But here’s the truth: **we can’t wait for the system to save us—we have to save each other.**
We must get better at checking in, reaching out, and holding one another up. We must make it safe to be honest, to be vulnerable, to ask for help.

Our kids—and our future—depend on it.

🎙 **DIOTALK EPISODE #219** dives deep into the crisis, why it’s happening, and how we can come together to protect our most vulnerable.
