Mental Health Crisis: Our Kids & Urgent Support Needed

This number sounds unreal, but it’s tragically true—**20% of teenagers in America will seriously consider suicide this year**. That’s 1 in 5 kids… and it’s happening right now.

We’re losing children, teens, and adults every single day—not just to suicide, but to silent suffering. So many don’t feel safe being real. They don’t feel safe asking for help. And in the meantime, our communities are breaking apart. The kindness that once held us together is fading, replaced with anger and cruelty. This is hurting our nation’s mental health more than we realize.

To make it worse, our mental health system is **fragmented, overwhelmed, and under-resourced**. We don’t have enough therapists, enough funding, or enough national support. And unless we change course, it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

That’s why we need each other more than ever.
We need to **be the support system our neighbors don’t have**.
We need to **hold each other up, listen without judgment, and help each other reach out for help**.

Because the truth is, we’re all going to need that at some point.

🎙 **Tune in to DIOTALK EPISODE #219** for a powerful conversation on the crisis, the root causes, and what we can do to save lives.
