If you have been chelating for a while, or if you have been listening to me, you know by now that mercury messes up your adrenal glands. Oddly, it only affects the cortex part that produces cortisol. Your body can keep churning out adrenaline just fine! But most of the general malaise that mercury produces comes from this shortage of cortisol when you need it. The mercury can make it show up at the wrong times, or not at all, or you get adrenaline instead.

It is easy to do what we call “crashing your adrenals.” You are going on fairly okay but then something stressful happens and you wind up in bed for a week, for instance. So take it easy. In the process of doing this protocol you may start having good days. You may wake up in the morning and you feel like your old self. “Wow, so this is how I am supposed to feel! I’m cured! This is wonderful!” you say to yourself. And you go out and mow the lawn and dig ditches and remodel the house. Until you crash and wind up depressed and anxious and unable to sleep (the gift that keeps on giving) and your digestion goes south again. So take it easy. Don’t be too exuberant! You have mercury poisoning. That is no joke. Wait until you have days and days of feeling good in a row and even then proceed with caution. When you crash like that, it is hard to recover and get back on your feet.
