Sharon has had careers in the field of health and wellness since her teenage years. For most of her 20-year nursing career, she served as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Critical Care and then ran a business focused on nutrition for over 25 years. She has been involved with the LDAA since its inception in 2009, serving as President (2013 to present), and additionally CEO (2018 to present).

With more than 30 years’ experience leading teams of volunteers from all walks of life, Sharon is highly regarded for her calm manner, dedication to a caring & respectful environment for staff as well as her engaging leadership style.

Despite being a not-yet-recovered patient herself, Sharon has been a tireless advocate for justice for patients living with Lyme and associated illnesses. She remains an enduring source of inspiration for her team.
