ISRAEL - THE TWO STATE SOLUTION IS AN OXYMORON

The notion of a “two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has long been touted by international leaders, diplomats, and peace advocates as the ultimate path toward peace in the Middle East. Yet, despite decades of negotiations, wars, intifadas, and countless diplomatic initiatives, such a resolution remains elusive—almost intentionally so. From a Machiavellian perspective, the two-state solution is fundamentally an oxymoron: a contradiction in terms engineered by powerful actors who profit from the ongoing conflict. Both Israel and the Arab side, along with their global backers, have no genuine incentive to bring lasting peace because the perpetual status quo is a lucrative cash cow that fuels political power, economic interests, and geopolitical leverage. Moreover, even if the desire existed, structural realities and historical animosities render the two-state framework impractical, if not impossible.
