The origin of Batman is one of intrigue once you peel away the layers of corporate marketing.
Though Bob Kane and Bill Finger are widely acknowledge, now at least, as the creators of the Batman. It took many years and the death of Kane for Finger to finally receive his due.
Regardless, there can be no denying that both men, and those who still are not officially acknowledged, took inspiration from Johnston McCulley's greatest hero, Zorro.
