Captain Tom Moore knighted by The Queen During Outdoor Ceremony at Windsor Castle

The Queen has knighted Captain Sir Tom Moore in her first official engagement in person since lockdown.

The 100-year-old, who raised more than £32m for NHS charities, was knighted in a unique outdoor ceremony at Windsor Castle.

The fundraising hero walked 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday, he originally wanted to raise just £1000 for charity.
