Tom Lee: "The US may stock the SBR by simply acquiring a company that is buying lots of Bitcoin" 🪙

Tom Lee believes that one method the US Government may obtain lots of Bitcoin for its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR), without setting off Global FOMO, would be to simply purchase a company that is already stocking lots of Bitcoin. Using this method, the US could stack secretly without setting off a price explosion. The likely target company would be Michael Saylor's "Strategy" (formerly MicroStrategy) who currently owns over 601,550 BTC and continues acquiring thousands more each week, with a goal of getting to 1 Million BTC, which is coincidentally the magic number of Bitcoin specified in Cynthia Lummis' bill for the US SBR to strategically stock up to within 5 years.

Michael Saylor also met with the Trump family and White House Officials prior to the 2024 election and the details of what was discussed has been kept under wraps by both Mr. Saylor and Government. On February 5, 2025, Michael Saylor's company "MicroStrategy" officially changed its name to "Strategy".

Trump is trying to get the Federal Reserve Bank to lower Interest Rates. One speculation is he is doing this to borrow a large amount of money with a lower overhead, and may use the money to purchase an enormous amount of Bitcoin for the SBR in 1 shot. Jerome Powell, the current Fed Chairman, is refusing to honor that, or step down from office. However, in May 15, 2026, his term expires and a new Chairman will be appointed that may grant the request for lower Interest Rates that will set this chain of events in motion. We'll see.
