Matthew 19:27, Peter was aware of the commitment to Jesus Christ. He had to leave everything behind.
Matthew 19:27, now Peter is asking Jesus what he has now, if he left everything behind.
Matthew 19:28-29, Hebrews 11:24-26, Jesus' response to both His 12 disciples and future disciples: eternal life is what will be received. Eternal life is what is gained by those who leave everything behind to follow Jesus Christ.
Matthew 19:30, Daniel 3:17-18, Sacrifice. Those who were the last to remove their foot off the ground during an evacuation were busy ensuring everyone else made it to safety. Those who only wanted themselves to be in front of everyone else were naturally selfish. An evacuation is not a survival competition. It is about saving as many people as possible. Those who were busy risking their lives fully trusted in God: whether or not they would be physically delivered, they would surely be spiritually delivered.
