He discusses issues surrounding Trump's outburst about sending two nuclear subs closer to Russia. These subs are designed to sit quietly on the ocean floor in stealth mode and to be used for 2nd strikes, not 1st strikes. When they move, they can be detected by the Russians.

Russia's new Oreshnik missile is more effective than a nuclear weapon & can strike all NATO bases in Europe, if need be. Currently, it doesn't use nuclear warheads. It travels at Mach 10+, can target very precisely, can penetrate deep into hardened defenses. It has 6 warheads that each have 6 more for a total of 36 that can precisely target. There is no defensive system that can stop the Oreshnik.

Russia is playing chess with NATO, the US, and the entire West, not just Ukraine. Everyone in Russia understands that the West & NATO are using Ukraine to fight Russia and ultimately defeat Russia. This is why Russia considers NATO involvement in Ukraine an existential threat to Russia. Although Russia has always been open to negotiations, it looks like the Ukraine conflict will be decided on the battlefield. For Western negotiations to admit defeat is a bridge too far for Ukraine, NATO, EU, UK, and the US to swallow and for them to resolve the root causes of the war in Ukraine.

It is also important to realize that Trump & the US are waging an economic war with all BRICS nations. The US is no longer 'king of the hill' that can effectively dictate what other nations can do. Many of the 20 BRICS nations are now using their own national currencies to settle trades, bypassing the $dollar. This means that the $dollar is losing its status as the global reserve currency where nations have had to use the SWIFT systems for transactions. This is causing a lot of financial stress for the US that really gets Trump upset.

Alastair & Danny turn their attention to the mess in the Middle East with Israel, Gaza, and Iran. The attitude of Israel towards the Palestinians as sub-human is hard for the West to understand. Iran is rebuilding its defenses & updating strategies in case Israel & the US attack again, which they expect. This 12-day war brought the whole nation of Iran together. Iran is now more confident & better prepared than before. How can this insanity be resolved? The answer might be that Israel must self-destruct. The 12-day war of Israel against Iran was a complete failure for Israel where Iranian missiles did a lot of serious damage to Israel.
