On August 10, 2025, PM Narendra Modi flagged off three new Vande Bharat Express trains from KSR Bengaluru Railway Station, marking a major boost to India’s rail connectivity. The new routes include Bengaluru–Belagavi, Amritsar–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, and Nagpur–Pune, taking the total count of Vande Bharat trains to 150. Modi also inaugurated the Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro and laid the foundation for Phase 3.
