WEAPONS (2025) Movie Review
Zach Cregger, the mind behind Barbarian, returns with Weapons — a bold and mysterious horror-thriller from New Line Cinema. Starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, and Benedict Wong, the film sets up a chilling puzzle when an entire classroom of children vanishes on the same night, leaving one behind and a whole town questioning reality.

Weapons was one of my most anticipated films of the year, and while it features strong performances, disturbing imagery, and some truly thought-provoking ideas, it didn’t quite hit as hard as I’d hoped. There’s ambition in every frame and some incredibly unique concepts at play, but I left wanting more—more emotion, more clarity, and more punch.

In my review, I break down the film’s layered narrative, Cregger’s direction, and the haunting atmosphere. Weapons is well-crafted and unsettling, but despite its strengths, it ultimately left me feeling a bit cold and wanting more from the entire concept.
